03 July, 2014

Making tracks up the coast to meet friends for dinner at 'Spirit House' and it was important to drop by the farm and share a beer with a great mate. Friends for 26 years. Some say "How did you two ever make it this far?" A pair of tragic, true romantics and as chaotic as it has been at times, we treasure our unique shape now. Very Happy Ladies!! It's her birthday on Saturday and she thought she was turning 44. The highlight of my visit was telling her she'll be 45.

(To Haylea Petrie - congrats on your induction into the International Softball Hall of Fame last night! The 201st player to rep Queensland, the 144th player to rep Australia, 96 Atlanta Olympian, 221 games played. I'll never forget those one-handed home runs!)

... and a covert coffee experience earlier in the week made me wonder if Columbia is still in the World Cup?

THERE IS SOMETHING IN THE UNIVERSE SO ABUNDANT AND QUICK THAT IT ALWAYS DELIVERS AND ALWAYS SURPRISES

On July 11th, a group of 'Play For A Cure' Softball Ladies were invited as guests to attend the 2014 Annual Brisbane Bronco's 'Old Boys' Luncheon. We were a table of 9 in a room of 450 current and retired rugby league players. Midway through proceedings the entire room was asked to stand up and partake in a true or false quiz. The questions were announced, hands on head for true, hands on bottom for false and a winner would arrive through process of elimintaion. The boring version is... I won the quiz and the prize.

The crazy version is... I did not know the answer to ONE question and guessed the lot correct. A total number of 22 questions that exploded the ladies on table 7 into mad celebration. I have no idea what more to say about that?

A POWER BOOST WHILE OUT JOGGING TODAY

Waking up to news this morning about MH 17, shot down on July 17th, 283 passengers, 15 crew and moved to tears, again. The 3rd plane shot down in the Ukraine in 5 days. The world will continue to spin and move with voracious accuracy until we pay attention and learn

21-25th JULY

A truly blessed week, ingenuously launched on Monday morning with this view over breakfast, spiritually celebrated under heavenly skies by Friday afternoon

Sunday Dreaming, high in the hills but not far from 'Uluru' at all. Imagining thoughts and feelings travel at the speed of light while wildly believing they're even quicker

July 30th and 26C, a near perfect day. A question popped into my head at the gym. What is beat? The heart muscle and lungs drummin' it out together, no matter what the activity. I liked the thought of that. Then, backing out of my car space and minding my own business when 'poof', a new shop was added to the complex overnight.

The near perfect day...
