May 21st

I gutted out 100 Burpees today. 'Falling Down and Getting Back Up' practice. Heart pounding. Pounding! Massage tonight and requested Burpee Care please. Even your teeth need massaging after Burpees. Beautiful exercise for heart conditioning!

MAY 24th another language on another plane

JA Flight 2151 departted Kansai Itami to Aomori on Thursday

Gate 23 @ 8:00am, window seat 15K on May 22nd.

I have a book waiting patiently for me on a shelf in the front room of my house in Brisbane called "The Information: A History, A Theory, A Flood" by James Gleick. A friend thought I'd like it a few years ago and he put it in my carry-on luggage.  It sprang to mind during this flight...

(Aomori is Japan's top producer of 'cute and lovely' apples!)

25TH MAY "CAMINO CON EL SOL"

I am happy and humbled to be leaving Hirosaki, Aomori with this unexpected gift from the owners of the restaurant that provided us with daily breakfasts and dinners. I found it folded up and placed on my table last night? So I folded up my huge fabric of gratitude and left it neatly on their table too

MAY 27TH

An exciting weekend of Softball, Legendary Japanese Players, Coaches and old friends at the "HARUKA DREAM SOFTBALL STADIUM" (dedicated to Haruka Saitoh, pictured in the middle below)

Reika Utsugi & Haruka Saitoh            Taeko Utsugi ('Mother of Softball in Japan')     Yukiko Ueno & Yumi Iwabuchi

All of this - the extraordinary people, players, the softball and facilities - is so unique and special, intertwining reality with spirituality in stunning ways. While in Hirosaki, this symbol presented itself again
